I Saw It, I Liked It, I Bought It !xx

So today I dropped my friend Yvonne Froehlich off at the Train Station, on the way home there was still a lot of traffic as I passed our local Retail Outlet, so I thought I would treat myself to a cup of tea and a bit of breakfast whilst I let the Works Traffic just sort itself out.
My Dining Room - I would love to put an American Diner table in there!
On the Way to M&S CafĂ© for my Breakfast I spotted TKMax (well I say spotted, I did actually already know it was there but it was kind of jumping out at me today) So I thought I will "nip" into TKMax, have a mooch, go for breakfast in M&S grab some chicken pieces on the way out for tea and go home and craft.  Mmmmmm?

Two hours later I left TKMax ??????

 So what happened there then??

Well I spotted some lurrrrvely coats so I tried a few on? No that one's too big and makes me look fat, that one's too small and makes me look fat, that one's too short and makes me look fat and that one's too long and STILL makes me look fat?? (I am sure Goldilocks only had three let downs???)  So I thought what about a Bra???  Don't even go there!!!!! I will stick to the few I have that DO give a little support !!!! And the Sexy Nightie?  Well just forget it!!! Mind you, it might have looked a bit better if the dressing gown sleeve didn't have a big white security tag attaching it to the hem of the nightie???? I did think though, I was getting a little bit desperate to buy something if I was resorting to looking at Sexy Nighties - nothing sexy about them on this bod!!!!

Ah well I thought there is always the "Craft Isle" upstairs???

So off I trundle up the stairs and all I could find was a couple of Paint Brushes in a set with some paints and a few tatty old background papers that were definitely not even LAST SEASON!

So the one thing you can always rely on with TKMax is the fact that they always have lots of lovely note books/pads for you to stroke, flick through and put down again.  So I was happily doing this when I spotted a Lady next to me doing the exact same thing!! So I bet you could stand here all day looking at note books too? I Say, Oh Yes she said, I have hundreds of them at home, all untouched.  Yep, I say, I have lots of Journals that will probably never see the light of day, otherwise they will be spoilt.  "Ex-Secretary"? I ask her. "No" She Says, "just a sad old woman who looks at every note book she sees"!!  Then even she left me???  So I stroked a few more notebooks and stepped away!.

I had been in the shop so long I HAD to buy something?  Aha, Towels.  Not bought any of them since last week when I got some for the En-Suite?? But the kids kept taking my old thread bare towels in there, SOOOO If I buy Towels that go in my Bathroom AND my En-Suite and give all my old towels to the BIN  you will never see another towel again that doesn't look like it belongs there????
So I was happy with my lot, a basket full to the brim with towels, really lovely patterns on them too!

I was just on my way out of the shop when I spotted it!!

THE TIN

THAT MATCHED THE CUP
THAT MATCHED MY WALLPAPER

I HAD TO HAVE IT

BUT THEN I SAW
THE TEA POT CUP THING THAT MATCHED THE TIN THAT MATCHED THE CUP THAT WENT WITH THE WALLPAPER
DIFFERENT DESIGN BUT STILL " SANDERSON" WHICH IS WHY ALL THE COLOURS MATCHED PERFECTLY - OBVIOUSLY last season!!!

that matched this Beautiful Sugar Bowl.  Non of us take Sugar but I had to have it, isn't it beautiful?

and then I spotted a few other things!!

See "Sanderson" is an original Retro Designer from the 50's.  My wall paper is an exact copy of the original Sanderson wall paper from the 50's - most people will know this style but I hadn't seen the Ladies before. I think maybe they are a copy of an original design too, I must look it up - The reason I say it must be a copy is because non of this was very expensive?

Boy did I enjoy that!!! and look I even went back for the Note Pad I had stroked earlier.

So now I can leave out the biscuit tin that matches my very posh shopping list note book that matches the very large fruit bowl (wonder what that bowl is really for??) that matches the cake stand (well it is my Daughters Birthday in a few months!) so I had to get the cake Slicer too and the Cake Forks.  It was funny, my Hannah pointed out that there was something wrong with the forks because they only had three prongs! She is so Northern!
So the reason I was dropping Yvonne off at the Station????
She has just graced my house with her presence for a few nights whilst we did a Workshop with Finnabair!
Mmmmm??? it did look nice at one point, just before I killed it with that last spray of ink?
On the Saturday me and Yvonne and Maggs had a  meal together which was lovely (the company, not the meal) I would never self-praise my cooking, well actually I would never praise my cooking full stop - no M&S made it for me anyway. So  we did the workshop on the Sunday, lots of people we knew and a few new people to meet.  Finnabair is very lovely and very approachable.  It was all organised by a very lovely (and funny) young lady Ha Hem! called Sue Tucker.  So the class was great, my work Mmmmm not so great -

I am feeling a little bit TKMax Last Season myself at the moment but I have just lost my lovely Dog Max very recently who had been with us longer than my Kids and  it would have been my Mam's Birthday yesterday - and I am getting a lot of hot flushes lately and feeling very tired - so just a blip, I will be back.
The workshop itself was very informative though and I loved working straight onto the Canvas Covers, and my Hannah does take a lovely photo.
When you see Finn's work up close and personal is it so beautiful. So I will practice more. Finn is lovely and teaches a great class.

So then me and Yvonne got to sit down and watch Ower Barbara on the Telly with some lourvely new ClarityStamps.  The samples I have seen on TV and from the rest of the DT on FB are just brilliant.  You can tell everyone loved this set of stamps.  As usual my Mate Barbara did a great job, it was lovely to be able to watch her whilst sat with my Crafty friend Yvonne.
So cost for taking Yvonne to the Train Station -I a not saying in case my Hubbie reads this, and I never even got the cuppa and breakfast?
Here is one sample of my DT work for ClarityStamp this weekend. I will blog more later in the week.
Or maybe later today as I am up with the Lark this morning. xxx
Have a nice day and thank you for dropping by. A bit of an indulgent Blog I know but hey it gave you chance to drink your Tea!
Sam xxx
All positive comments are more than welcome.
One last thing, my new challenge on my Gelli Arts & Crafts Page will be to do an ATC that you have made from a Stamped image on the Gelli Plate or you have hand drawn with the back of your paint brush onto your Gelli Plate through the paint, simple drawings like on the Sanderson design above, and then show me how you finished it off??
