Sunday Stamper Challenge by Hels

Hi there, I have just spent a great weekend with lots of lovely crafty ladies (not crafty) crafty!! All arranged by the very generous Sue Tucker -- I say generous because she has had a lot on her plate this year and yet she still went ahead and booked us a great crafting weekend Up North with the very lovely and very talented Hels Sheridan.  When Sue mentioned it the two days were booked up within half an hour!  My New Years Resolution was to do as many classes as I could with people who's art I admired the most.  Well it must be the only New Years resolution I have ever achieved!!  So Hels was on my list and the weekend seemed like a life time away in February but it was hear quicker than I thought and now it has gone!!  But we all had a great time and made some great projects.  You know it has been an inspiring workshop when you get home and think "did I make that"??

Well :  Did I make this?  Yes I did and I love it, especially the flower I have been wanting to make flowers like that for a while now and I have seen Hels do it before but hadn't had a go.  Now I have I will be making more.  I just really enjoyed making these canvasses.  I am going to enter it into the Sunday Stamper-week  267- Material GirlChallenge. I loved working on these canvasses and Hels taught us some really great techniques.  So without further ado here it is :

I have been toying with the idea of doing canvasses on and off over the years but I honestly believe that weather you have the talent or not, if you go to workshops and learn some basic and then more advanced techniques you will definitely give yourself a head start.  I will be playing a bit more and trying to perfect my backgrounds etc, I love to make my own toppers too and am looking forward to my Melt Pot class later in the year with Hels.
I love this saying by Tim Holtz - Ranger
(Flower Technique shown by Hels)

These Tags are great - from the Tim Holtz Range
you get sticky plastic toppers that fit the metal
tag exactly.
These Rub On's are brilliant they
stick to anything! By Guess Who?
The background is a tag that I stamped and
then blended ink over, I had to borrow Joan's Splodge Mat
I just can't ink without it now!
This is the middle section and I tried to carry on a
connection from the left canvass through to the
right canvass.

I am not completely happy with this section
so I think it might end up with a few more
little bits on it. "Know when to stop"!!

It was lovely to have a few crafty days with my friend Joan too who actually I call Crafty Joan!!!  I also met some new ladies, some who I talk to on FB and some I have never talked to, we had a damned good laugh and they are all lovely!
and Michelle Webb I don't lick art work I just Stroke it!!!! Michelle has put pictures of the weekend up on her Blog, thanks Michelle.
