Double Challenge Blog

This is a DOUBLE BLOG for the Clarity Stamp Challenge and the Fussy and Fancy Challenge, which both launch today.

Hi there,  Boy Oh Boy where do I start -  I have had  a pretty stressful week this week, do I want to just move on or do I want to have a little moan about it??? WELL, I DON'T MIND IF I DO!!!
have a little moan about it that is!!!

Nothing major happened REALLY not in comparison to a lot of things, but sometimes its the little things that get you, like your main Lap Top Crashing, then acting normal again, then crashing again, then being normal again? its like - Oh no I can't do my three blogs, Oh yes I can, Oh no I can't !!!!!  So you finally turn to your NEW Lap Top that you got at xmas, you know, the one with the Windows 8 on it!!!!!! Mmmmm, I won't call it too much because I am typing on it right now ssshhhh!! BUT it wouldn't recognise my IPhone so I couldn't up load any photos, and it gave me a free up-grade for windows 8 so I couldn't even find where the photo section was, and when I tried to type a blog it kept just flitting from one page to another, or jumping to some obscure news event that I didn't ask to see and didn't want to see.  So with the three blogs I had to write, the DT cards I was trying to do, the running back and forth with the kids who are off school and doing lots of activities and the leaking sink in the kitchen that now I can't draw any water from at all! I would say I feel a little TESTED!!!  Have my designs suffered slightly because of this? well I think I know the answer and you don't have to answer so should we leave it at that!!!?

However, my Hubbie announced last night that he is coming home today, I did manage to get my Windows 8 sorted (I think, I have'nt put any photos on here yet) , my lovely Brother In Law Is going to fix my sink and to solve the  problem of the double challenge launch today I have decided to do a DOUBLE CHALLENGE BLOG!
I would like to thank all my Crafty Friends for all my FB Hugs this week! xxxx

So the first Challenge Launched today is the  ClarityStamp Challenge Blog I have done a little photo tutorial for this, fingers crossed I am about to upload. The theme is Christmas!

For the Mouse Tag and Snowman Tag I used these stamps
The Tags themselves are from the new Clarity Stamp Shapes

I stamped the words onto paper several times off the Xmas Music Stamp
and then strategically placed the Tag stamp till I got
We wish you a merry Christmas across them all, I then decorated them.

And here is the result, with a bit of a Brick Wall Stencil
thrown into the mix, this is to represent the
stockings on the fire place!

My Gelli Plate Two colours and a white and there you have  a Tag background
in No time at all. I used Clarity Paint Crimson, Sap Green & Titanium White

So with the background made on my Gelli Plate mixing
Red and White and a brayer and  adding green to the bottom
Section all I had to do was stamp the The Xmas Tree
over it with Black Archival Ink - this  is a gorgeous Clarity Stamp and
ideal for any Christmas Card. I love traditional Xmas Colours.

I then decorated the Tag with White embossing powder to make
snow on the little tags, decoration on the tree and parcel
and Snow dripping down from the top of the Tag.
I hope you like my Tag, I look forward to seeing what cards/tags/projects our Challenge followers come up with.  When you enter you are in with a chance of winning a £50 gift voucher! Also the DT will pick their top five who will all get a mention on the Challenge Blog.
So why not hop along to our Clarity Stamp Challenge Blog and give it a go.

BUT DON'T GO YET BECAUSE I HAVE ANOTHER CHALLENGE BLOG
LAUNCHING TODAY TOO.

Also today the Fussy and Fancy Challenge Blog starts afresh with the theme of "Black & Blue!
Now my DT entry doesn't appear yet because of my  "Little Technical Problems" however, I know that our new Challenge Blog Co-Ordintor Sherly  has it in hand and will be sorting it out for me shortly.  Sheryl has just taken over the Fussy and Fancy Challenge Blog and I am very pleased for her and know that she will do a great job.  I am very sorry to see Sally-Ann Haines leave but I know she has exciting things happening so I am also very pleased for her, I know it must have been hard to give up her Baby Blog though.

So back to business/pleasure!!!

Here is my entry for the Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge
"Black & Blue" which is hosted by the lovely Annie

This is done with Paints and Adirondack off the Gelli Plate and Splodge Mat
I bought myself this gorgeous Clarity Stencil and this Lady, Madeleine,  has had more colours added to her hair than you can imagine, she has had a GP Face Mask, Dylusions make-up, Adirondack Curls and System 3 make-over - have you guessed yet ?  yes I LOVE THIS STENCIL !  So on this occasion I thought I would tone it down a bit ??? and go for the pure tones of the Blue and Black to show that no matter what you do to a good quality well thought out stencil - it will always look lovely and always have the option to look different.  The same goes for a good quality Stamp, and you can get Madeleine in a stamp too, that's on my very long list!

So why don't you get out your favourite Stencil or Stamps and give the
Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge a go - you could be in with the chance of being our
Randomly picked winner and getting a guest spot on the next challenge or you may be
picked as one of our Top 5 and get a mention on the Blog.
So what inspires you?  Why don't you show us in your Challenge Entry.
 I know I sometimes sound like a walking advert don't I -
but I just love to see art work from fellow crafters.

Well I feel all chilled out again now - I am actually beginning to enjoy working on Windows 8 with its new changes, you known why? because it is more like Windows 7 again!!!

Bye for now - all comments are really greatly appreciated
 - the good ones that is.
Carry On Crafting and HAVE A NICE DAY !!
