Hosting the F&F Blog Challenge.

I like to make my own sayings or verse up to go with my projects.

FUSSY AND FANCY CHALLENG BLOG - PEARLS & LACE

Products used from: IndigoBlu - - Clarity-- Suzicraft--Docraft--SplodgeAway..Art From The Heart

The pressure was on (in a good way) when Sally Ann Haines asked me to Host this weeks Challenge and to pick a theme, which is Pearls and Lace.  After the main winner of the Challenge has been chosen via the Random Generator I will be picking the Top 5 entries. I look forward to popping in to check out every entry and I will enjoy visiting all the blogs of the people who enter too.  I am not entirely sure what I will be looking for but I will soon work that out as I Blog Hop.  So Please give it a go and make my task a real challenge in itself.

Because I am Hosting this Challenge, I felt I needed to do something a little different and hope that I can inspire people to put in an entry.  Obviously you don't have to go over the top like I have, but I had been wanting to do a Mixed Media/Altered Canvass for a little while and thought this was the ideal opportunity to give it a go. I think "the eye" is becoming a bit of a thing with me, its from Indigo Blu and I love to get it in my projects where ever and whenever I can, sometimes its sinister but in this case it is just hiding in the flowers watching over things?! I used my Melt Pot for the first time on some of the embellishments and flowers on this Canvass.

I started the Canvass with a SplodgeAway Mask and some Pearl Medium. I love this mask it is really versatile.  I knew I wanted to work from the top left corner downwards.  A Canvass isn't hard to do but you do need to decide where your direction is coming from and where it will all end.  I would say Never start in the middle even if you know exactly what you want to put there because then you are just filling in the gaps around the edges.  Start in one corner and the rest will start to work around it.  I wanted everything to be touching - so everything has something to do with another part of the canvass.  The Sentiment is my own, I like to make up sayings and poems to go with projects I do because that way you can make sure that it completely fits in with your project.  It doesn't have to be life-changing or anything but its nice if it makes you think a little bit. Not this one in particular just in general.

So I would love to see what you come up with for our Fussy and Fancy Challenge you can make a card, a tag, whatever it is you fancy making as long as you use our theme of "Pearls & Lace.
Thank you for visiting my Blog any comments posted are appreciated.
