DT work for Fussy and Fancy Challenge April 203

Hello there, I would like to start by saying Congratulations to the winner of our last Challenge for Team B well done Ginny
and also to the top 5 all lovely cards.

These edges are completely flat but through
Blending with the SplodgeAway Mat they look raised.
There is a new Team B  Challenge at the Fussy and Fancy Challenge Blog starting today and the theme is "Vintage", I think we are all loving a bit of Vintage these days. I wanted to do something a little different (what's new?) so I decided to do Black and White Vintage, you know in the style of My Fair Lady, that wonderful dress she wore with the stripes and that massive Hat.  You would think that would be relatively easy right?
WRONG! it wasn't.   I had some lovely striped papers which normally I don't tend to use even though I love them, I like to make my own backing papers, but when I used the papers for last months project incorporated with my backing papers I thought it worked quite well.

Anyway, to get a look that you want IS relatively easy but to get a feel of a particular style or era is a completely different thing altogether!  For this card I used my Backing papers, just a few embellishments my new vintage corner punch and my SplodgeAway Mat to darken the edges.  Then I decorated it but didn't stick anything down till I was happy with it.  I finished off with some White Opal Liquid Pearls.  Did I get My Fair Lady? I don't really think I did, however I am happy with the result and sometimes its best to side step your plan?
So why don't you get out your papers, or your bows and beads and see what Vintage card you can come up with.  The winner gets to be a Guest Designer for a Day and the top five picked will be recognised on the Blog too.

So I hope you join in with our
Challenge - go on treat yourself.

All comments on this Blog are appreciated but its Ok to just look too!

Good Luck and Carry On Crafting!

Sam
