DT Samples from Create & Craft Today

Well we had a great live chat on the Clarity Stamp page again this morning and afternoon while Barbara Gray was on Create & Craft. It was lovely to see some first timers too. There was a gorgeous array of Stamps and Stencils for Sale and guess what Everything Went!

This one was a last minute Card, not literally, but one I felt I wanted to add to my mix.   I have been wanting to do some brayered cards but there are a lot of very talented people on the DT who can show you much more complicated samples than me.  However, I do love to brayer and although I kept this as a real basic background I just wanted to show how these gorgeous little stamps can just pop off you card from such a quick and simple background.

I think the Clarity Stamps are great for all versions of popular crafting, Clarity (obviously) Altered Art, Mixed Media, Matting and Layering. They are varied, versatile and a joy to work with because of the quality and unique and intricate designs.  Ok I am biased  you may think, No/Yes, I am just lucky that as a Clarity Fan I get to play with so many of the Clarity Products.

I wish I had taken pictures of this as I went along.  Sometimes though I like to just get engrossed and not worry about what I am doing.  I enjoyed playing with this Seawee Stencil and Filigraphy Seahorse Stamps from Clarity - Its a mix of  Gelli Plate, Dylusions Inks,  and Embossing Paste. This is the Back of a book, I did a completely different front cover, and some inner backing papers which I will show at a later date.

This one is my personal favourite.  Its a mixture of the lovely Clarity Garden  Heart Stamp  Ocean Swirl Stencil and Love Silhouettes Stamp, Gelli Plate, Clarity Stencil some Art Pencils and a good dollop of Glossy Accents. The background is printed tissue that I stamped onto and Stencilled over.   Because I used Adirondack Inks on the backing paper I sealed it in with a little hairspray otherwise it would have just rubbed off, because the tissue paper is non-porous. .

With this one I did a mixture of techniques, On the Hills I have put some embossing paste which picks up the colour from underneath it, so it just gives a little texture on the side of the hill, I haven't done this before and think it works in the photo but isn't so great when you have it in your hand, so I will play a little more with this, and maybe colour the paste first.   I love this Hot Air Balloon, I think it will be appearing on many a Tag or Book Cover.
My next blog will have a few pictures showing you how I used my Clarity Gilding Flakes on Fabric
Its OK no Stencilling Brushes were harmed in this process.

If you check out Barbara's Blog too (if you are not already a follower I highly recommend it) I think Barbara will be putting up some more tutorials this week.

So I will blog again in a few days
